Strawberry Lovers Party – Finch Bucket Bag

Who doesn’t love a strawberry!? Especially when it’s fabric, at least that way you’re guaranteed sweetness no matter the time of year!

You may or may not know that I’m not the best at keeping up with “Sew-Alongs”. I’m usually pretty late to the party, only starting when it is finishing up. However when my lovely friend Amber of @amberleighcrafts said she was hosting a relaxed strawberry lovers sew-along I couldn’t wait to join in. The only main requirement is that it has to feature strawberry fabric or be shaped like a strawberry.

Being a huge fan of a strawberry print it wasn’t particularly hard to dig through my stash to find some, and fresh from the fun of making my last Finch Bucket I decided to make another!

I quite enjoyed cutting out the little squares, in fact I got a little carried away. There is something very pleasing about cutting up scraps and ending up with neat little piles of fabric. It actually has encouraged to dig further through my stash and make up some more 2.5″ squares. I’m even thinking of adding some scrap packs to the shop.

It’s genuinely hard to pick a favourite print, but the Heather Ross Strawbs and those sweet little bunnies on the pink are way up there!

Which is yours?

It’s not too late to join the party, it is running until the 6th October. If you sign up to the mailing list Amber will be sending weekly project ideas and tips.
