My lovely and talented friend Laura of Sweet Cinnamon Roses is a hosting a very exciting “Pattern Parade”. Each week starting the 1st March and for the next 8 weeks she will be sewing one of her patterns, and we have all been invited to join in with her! Each pattern is quick enough to be made in an afternoon, or broken into quick chunks of time, there are no pattern pieces to print, and they’re all stash friendly, a perfect opportunity to use up some fat quarters that have been lingering around for ages!
This week sees the Parade kick off with her most popular pattern the Wee Braw Bag. It is no wonder this is such a popular pattern, it is super fun, quick and such a versatile make, so many different fabric combinations you could do!
The pattern comes in 2 sizes and I decided to go large!

I broke into my stash of Trixie that I have been hoarding for sometime, in fact both this colourway of the mice and the green Briar Rose had not been touched before now. I must admit it felt pretty good to be finally putting it to good use, and if I can say so myself it makes a pretty darn cute Wee Braw Bag!

I’m not really known for my love of green, which is probably why this is the first time it has been cut into, but with the purple mice fabric it looks so pretty.

This is beginner friendly pattern, and now is the perfect opportunity to sew with us, if you have any questions you can reach out and we will help! There is even a Facebook group so you join in there and ask questions. There will also be plenty of inspiration on Instagram to have a nosey at, just check out the tag – #sweetcinnamonrosespatternparade.

Head over to Laura’s blog for more information, and to find her lovely patterns! It’s not too late to join in, and there is no pressure to make something every week.
