Today I would like to share with you what I have made with Minki Kim’s newest collection – Hidden Cottage. If you are a fan of her work then you will LOVE this one.

Featuring Minki’s trademark cute illustrations and pretty florals on beautiful pastel backgrounds.

My Stitch and Go Case celebrated its first birthday last month, it’s a case I use daily! However not all cross stitch/ embroidery projects require lots of different floss, so I thought I’d change the dimensions up and make a Mini Stitch and Go. This is a pattern I came up with a while back but various time restraints have meant I am yet to finish writing it up as a pattern, despite this being about the 6th case I’ve made!

It features 9 floss pockets, a vinyl zip pouch for scissors and other notions, and those handy hidden pockets as seen in the bigger Stitch and Go Case to stash your fabric and hoop, my 6″ hoop fits nicely in there.

I love this hexie cheater print, it’s so effective! I just quilted around each hexagon and is if by magic it looks like I spent hours piecing by hand! (Sssh don’t tell anyone that I didn’t!)

This little case features a fun closure tab, which gives you another fussy cutting opportunity. Of course you’re not restricted to using a snap closure, if you neither have the supplies or the confidence. You could easily switch it out for an elastic and button closure.

I’m so in love with the colours of this collection, I’m finding it hard to pick a favourite print, they are all so pretty and sweet in their own way.

It may be a mini case but it’s amazing how much can fit in there!

Those 9 floss holders have been the perfect amount for quite a few of my smaller stitchy projects, and bonus points for the case being smaller has made it even easier to slip into a bag for some stitching on the go!

I am writing this pattern up as we speak (well as you read I guess!?) and I hope to have it with testers in the next couple of weeks. All being well it will go on sale towards the end of September.
