Summer is never a good time to plan lots of projects or think about getting much sewing/blogging done. I’m learning to shrug my shoulders and enjoy the time and not stress about it. However when Damjana emailed me asking if I would like to test her new pattern I knew I had to squeeze in some time because I really enjoyed her last one!

The Kalina Wallet pattern is SO much fun! It is quick to make and super useful. As with all her patterns, they are really well thought out and well written, detailing every stage step by step. Even if you are a beginner and new to sewing you will be whipping this up in no time and raiding your fabric to make another! I know I am!

The inside features 3 slots for cards, a sweet little zipped pocket for loose change and a secret slip pocket for any notes.

I have already put mine to use. It has been perfect for our summer days out, when I only need a bank card and a little cash, I can pop it in Mabel’s bag meaning I don’t have to lug about my handbag as well or put a heavy wallet in there laden with a million different store reward cards that I have a rather sad habit of accumulating!

The pattern also has the option to add a loop to add a key chain but I decided to opt against that, however I can see that would be very handy!
